Man walks for gays in military - San Bernardino County Sun

  1. My personal friend Richard Noble is marching on behalf of gays in the military. Personally, I have experienced the microscope for the simple fact that I am female. Ignorant people sometimes dumbly assume any woman that handles or works on machines is gay. It's not the case. It's simply a stereotype. If the government lifts the ban on gays, it will easier for others, including women to continue to do their job in the military. The current pressure to try and not seem gay is a major distraction, at least I saw it that way when I was in the service. Wouldn't it be nice to finally be able to relax some, and just do our jobs? I think so.

  2. And I got to add that Richard is being a hardy soul, because the desert where he lives is an arid and brutally hot and cold place. There are wild big cats, bear, coyotes and other hazards, and the march is long, much of it up hill. I personally know this desert very well. It's where Patton trained his troops. Way to go, Richard! Kudos, dude.
